AUSTRALIA, 2000 Olympics, Australian Gold medallists, trial sheet for preparation of the digital technology using Herb Elliot as the example as 'winning the 2000 Olympics 1500 metres race'; perforated on an a A4 sheet of two sheetlets with the map of Australia in RH corner of each sheetlet (map only used in the offset printing and not on the digital), similar to the normal digital issues of 2000 Olympic Games gold medal winners; lot includes the black printed interleaf as part of the manufacturing process. MUH. (1 A4 double sheetlet or 2 sheetlets)
This is only a trial and the use of Herb Elliot was rather special (it obviously was never issued). About 100 such sheets were produced most of which were destroyed and less than 20 sheets are believed to survive, these are mostly in official hands.
