FRENCH TRICOLOUR FLAG, which flew above the Vichy French barracks in Beirut and was souvenired by an Australian soldier when the city fell to the allies, printed at the top, 'Taken from Vichy French July 1941/Beirouth', and on the white centre panel 36 signatures being members of the Australian's platoon. Colour faded but all signatures clear, very fine.
