ONE POUND, (1933) unprinted watermark paper for one pound bearing portrait of Prince of Wales, later Edward VIII and words one pound (MVR p29 and fig 19). Tone spot, otherwise extremely fine and very rare.
This portrait was personally preferred by the Prince when he inspected it at Portals, the manufacturer of the watermarked paper (MVP p29).
