EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), gold oktadrachm, commemorative issue for Arsinoe II, after 268 B.C., (27.88 g), Alexandria mint, obv. veiled head of Arsinoe II to right, wearing stephane, rev. double cornucopiae bound with fillet, around **ARSINOHS FILADELFOU*, (S.7768, Sv.408, BMC 12 [p.43]). Extremely fine and very rare.

Svoronos knew of only seven examples of this type.
