VESPASIAN, (A.D. 69-79), gold aureus, Lugdunum mint, issue of A.D. 69-70, (7.10 g), obv. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG TR P, laureate head to right, rev. VICTORIA AVGVST, Victory advancing to left holding palm branch and wreath, (cf.S.2317 (denarius), Calico -, cf.RIC 295). Slightly porous field, very fine and very rare.

In a slab. The coin has no parallel issue to Vespasian but is very similar to issues of Vitellius. Could it be a use of a reverse die from this emperor?
