SICILY, Syracuse, (c.445 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.16 g), obv. quadriga to right, Nike flying above crowning horses, in exergue pistrix (sea serpent), rev. head of Artemis-Arethusa with hair bound with cord which passes thrice round the head and twice round back of hair, around four dolphins, **SURAKOSI ON* around, (cf.S.925, Boeh. 554 [V.282/R385] 6 noted, Boston 373). Toned, very fine and rare.
