MOESIA INFERIOR, Odessus, Gordian III, with Tranquillina, (A.D. 238-244), AE Pentassarion (11.55 g), obv. confronted busts of Gordian III right, laureate, draped, and cuirassed, and Tranquillina left, draped and wearing stephane around AVT K M ANT **GORD*IANOC AY**G* CE /TRANKV**L/L*EIN, Ares standing left, holding shield and reversed spear, E (mark of value) to left, around O**D*HCCEIT**W*N, (cf.S.3799, AMNG I 2382, Varbanov 4555 [R4]). Green patination, cut into edge of flan, otherwise nearly extremely fine and rare.
