MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.21 g), uncertain mint, issued post 323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with plain border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, under throne uncertain, **ALEXANDROU* to right, (cf.S.6730, Price -, M.-). Good very fine and rare.
