EGYPT, Alexandria, Philip I, (A.D. 244-249), billon tetradrachm, year 4 = A.D. 246-247, (12.73 g), obv. laureate cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, around A K M IOV **FILIPPO* C EV CEB, rev. L **D* across, Elpis standing to left, holding flower in hand, (S.-, BMC 1957, Milne 3652, Koln 2727). Flaw at obverse edge, otherwise nearly extremely fine, rare.

Struck in unusually good silver.
