NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE dupondius, issued c.65, Lugdunum mint, (13.68 g), obv. radiate head to right of Nero, around NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M [TR P IMP P P], rev. Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and parazonium, ROMA in exergue, S C across field, (S.1961, RIC 293, WCN 216, BMC -). Attractive even dark greenish-black patina, some weakness in legend, otherwise nearly very fine and rare in this condition.
