VENVS CAELESTIS, Venus seated to left, holding apple and sceptre, child at feet in left field, (S.7720, RIC 243, RSC 14, BMC 55-60); Maximinus, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.52 g), issued 236, obv. MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right of Maximinus, rev. P M TR P II COS P P, Maximinus to left between two military standards holding a spear, (cf.S.8312, RIC 4, RSC 56). Lightly toned, very fine - nearly extremely fine. (2)
