VALENS, (A.D. 364-378), silver siliqua, Treveri mint, issued A.D. c. 367-375 (2.35 g), obv. pearl-diademed head of Valens to right, around DN VALEN S PF AVG, rev. VRBS ROMA, Roma seated to left on throne holding spear and Victory on globe, TRPS. in exergue, (S.4113, RIC 27b, RSC.109c). Dark tone, nearly extremely fine and scarce.

Ex Spink Australia, Sale 18 (lot 1769) and from the Osbournby Hoard.
