BYZANTINE, weight as a circular commercial weights for one ounce with incuse cross above and at either side **G* A, with dots and swirls below, highlighted by a green ochre (25.55 g), (cf.Bendall 123-125). Very fine and rare.

Bendall discusses these commercial weights noting that the designs are simpler and more standardised with almost no complex designs.
