NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OF NEW SOUTH WALES, 1908, in bronze (39mm) by W.J.Amor (C.1908/4), obverse, National Rifle Association of New South Wales / Teams / Rifle Match / N.R.A. Council / & / U.S.A. Navy / Sydney / Aug 26/08. Good very fine and very rare.

Ex Dr John M.Chapman Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 88 (lot 1208), W.D.Koonce Collection U.S.A. and Spink Australia Sale 33 (lot 2658).

A competition was held at the Randwick Rifle Range between New South Wales shooters and a team from the visiting U.S.A. Naval fleet. Each team comprised of twenty men firing at 200, 500 and 600 yards each. All members of the two teams each received a medal. The U.S.A. team won by 1884 points to 1755.
