SYDNEY BRANCH OF THE ROYAL MINT, established 1855, George V Medal, in silver (41mm) (C.G/4) inscribed around edge 'A.M. Le Souef'. With case of issue, edge bruise on obverse at 5 o'clock, otherwise extremely fine.

Ex Dr John M.Chapman Collection, Noble Numismatics Sale 88 (lot 1219).

A.M.Le Souef was the Deputy Master of the Melbourne Mint who had been in charge of the closing down of the Sydney Mint in 1926.
