CITY OF SYDNEY, Award of Merit, in silver and enamel (26mm) with scroll suspender, reverse inscribed, 'City of Sydney/Eisteddfod 1934./2nd Prize/Violin Solo/Under 10 Yrs/Edna Hendrickx.'; City of Sydney award medal, (1987), in bronze (57mm), reverse inscribed, 'City of Sydney Australia Day/Community Award/1987/Sister Vianey Byrne'. In cases of issue, extremely fine; uncirculated. (2)

Edna Henderickx (correct spelling) was one of the winners of the 1944 ABC concerto competition in Queensland and was selected to perform as a soloist with the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra in November 1944. In July 1946 she played with the Conservatorium Chamber Orchestra performing Handel's Concerto Grosso No 12 and Weingartner's Serenade for Strings.
