BOY BISHOP, groat of Bury St. Edmonds, a fantasy by Billy Monk and Charlie Eaton, c.1857-61, another "groat" similar but thinner and flat, another with Bishops mitre and lines only for legends. The first patinated very fine, the others fair. (3)

Ex W.J. Noble Collection, Sale 61B (lot 177) and previously the first acquired in London in 1985, the others ex Spink Sale (lot 414 part).
