COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA, letter card with George V one penny printed stamp, on back, Submarine A.E.1. (now sunk). Unused.

The Australian submarine A.E.1 was lost without a trace on 14 September 1914 in St George's Channel near the Duke of York Island group after successful operations involving the occupation of German New Guinea and surrender of Rabaul on 13 September 1914. With research.
