SOUTH AFRICA, Jagersfontein, Municipality, water three gallons, disc for operating and drawing water from a pump in 1913, each disc cost one penny and became known as the water penny. In copper (T.05; M.49). Nearly fine-good fine. (3)

Virtually all 10,000 pieces minted in Birmingham were used as intended to work the pumps thus their condition is never better than very fine.
