PHOCAS, (602-610), gold solidus, (3.93 g), Constantinople mint, 8th Officina, dated IY 8, issued 604-605, obv. crowned facing bust holding cross, around DN FOCAS PERP AVC, rev. Angel facing left holding Staurogram headed cross, and globus cruciger, around VICTORIA AVCC H, (S.618, DOC -, MIBE 3, SB 617A). Gouge on obverse, uneven flan, nearly extremely fine and scarce.
