NEW ZEALAND, Bank of new Zealand, 'Specimen' Negotiable Certificate of Deposits for N.Z$1,000,000, No. A 000000, undated, (C.1983), imprint of Bradbury Wilkinson & Co., 'SPECIMEN' in red letters overprinted, unlisted by Robb, Lampard or Pick. Extremely fine or better and probably unique.
In 1983 the bank of New Zealand commisioned Bradbury Wilkinson to produce five specimens of a $1,000,000 Negotiable Certificate of Deposit. After intervention by the reserve Bank of New Zealand and the Treasury the issue did not not proceed. This is the only known surviving copy of this unpublished note. The other four are said to have been destroyed.
