PHOENICIA, Tyre, (c.2nd century B.C. - 1st century A.D.), silver half shekel or didrachm, (6.39 g), [Tyre] Jerusalem mint, issued 38-39 A.D., obv. laureate head of Melqarth beardless to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, carrying palm, standing on prow of ship, club to left, to left **RXD* ( = 164 = 38-39 A.D.], to right K P over monogram **KS*, Phoenician letter between legs, around **[TUROU IERAS KAI ASULOU]*, (S.5921, BMC 240, H.1621). Small flan, fine and a rare date.
