COMMODUS, (A.D. 177-192), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 192, (2.67 g), obv. laureate head of Commodus to right, around L AEL AVREL CO MM AVG P FEL, rev. LIB AVG P M TR P XVII COS VII P P, Libertas standing to left, holding pileus and rod, star in right field, (cf.S.5654, RIC 241, RSC 288, BMC 308). Short on flan, otherwise very fine.
