CHARLES I, (1625-1649), Oxford Mint, silver half pound, 1642, mint mark plume, (60.57 g), obv. around CAROLVS D G MAGN BRIT FRAN ET HIB REX, king seated on horseback to left, arms below including cannon, rev. around EXVRGAT DEVS DISSIPENTVR INIMICI, across the Declaration reads RELIG PROT LEG ANG LIBER PAR, pellets etc., (S.2945; N.2403, Morrieson A-2, Brooker 868 [Pl.LXXX, same dies]). Even grey attractive tone, slightly double struck on the obverse legend, very fine and very rare.
