PROMISSORY NOTE, (New South Wales - later Queensland) Moreton Bay, Kangaroo Point, one shilling-1849 unused, imprint 'J.Swan, Printer, Brisbane'; size 198mm x 63mm, black print on light green paper (Percy Marks p.140, note mentioned and illustrated in Vort Ronald Colonial Currency & Promissory Notes p.37). Stuck to backing paper, otherwise very fine and extremely rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 91 (lot 3017) and Sale 89 (lot 1922) the W.G. & L.M.Wright Collection, previously Dr. G.H.Abbott and E.Wills Collections, from D.Raymond, circa 1947.
