MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.08 g), probably Magnesia mint, issued c.319-305 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, monogram to left **SE* and under throne **AT*, to right **ALEXANDRP[OU]*, (cf.S.6730, cf.Price 1970, BMC -, M.-). Lightly toned, good fine, scarce.
