CAPPADOCIA, Caesarea-Eusebia, Nero, (A.D. 54-68), silver hemidrachm (1.81 g), struck circa A.D. 63, obv. Laureate head of Nero to right, around [NERO CLAVD] DIVI CLAVD F CAESAR AVG GERMANI, rev. Nike standing to right, foot on globe, inscribing shield set on knee, (S.1950, RPC 3646 [p.556], Sydenham, Caesarea 83, RSC 352). Strong portrait fully on flan, nicely toned, off centred on reverse, extremely fine and very attractive, very scarce.

Ex Classical Numismatic Group Auction sale 90, May 23, 2012 (lot 1088). RPC list 19 coins struck from 16 obverse dies.
