EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy X Alexander I and Cleopatra III, (114-89/8 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.09 g), Alexandria mint, issued year 12 = 106-5 B.C., obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, with dotted border, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on a thunderbolt, to left around **PTOLEMAIOU BASI[LEWS]*, to left LIB above **Q*, to right **PA*, (cf.S.7938, SNG Cop. 359, Sv.1728); Ptolemy IV, (221-205 B.C.), AE 33 hemidrachm, (38.42 g), Alexandria mint, issued 221-205 B.C., obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front cornucopiae, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU*, between legs **DI* monogram, (cf.S.7814, Sv.1127, SNG Cop. 202, Pitchfork 50); other ancient coins (5) and modern copies (2). Poor - very fine. (9)
