USA, WELLS FARGO & CO, San Francisco, Second of Exchange No.1418 to the Union Bank of London, dated Dec 18, 1868, for £6 sterling payable to Thomas Burbury (sic) (Burberry), affixed US Internal Revenue two cents stamp. Two small splits at bottom edge, otherwise nearly very fine.

Thomas Burberry (27 August 1835 - 4 April 1926) was the founder in 1856 of Burberry, one of the United Kingdom's largest branded clothing businesses. He is also known as the inventor of gabardine.
