STATUE OF GENERAL GORDON, (Gordon of Khartoum) wearing Egyptian uniform in white with orange fez cap (stands approx 44cm), no maker's name but Staffordshire, c1860s (see Pugh, pl.119, fig.339, pg. C309). Several paint chips need touching up, otherwise very fine.
This statue type has been advertised for sale recently in USA for US$750.
