GURKHA SMALL KUKRI, with two smaller kukri all in a special commemorative scabbard with fitments for 5 Gorkha Rifles (Frontier Force) Centenary 22 May 1958; another small kukri in scabbard; three Gurka unit badges, one for Army Medical Corps and the other two unidentified. Fine - good very fine. (5)

The 5 Gorkha (spelling variety for Gurkha) Rifles was originally formed as an infantry regiment of the Indian Army comprising Gurkha soldiers of Nepalese origin. From 1921 it was known as 5 Royal Gurkha Rifles (Frontier Force) and changed to the current name from 1950.
