BUTESHIRE, Rothsay Mills, one shilling and eight pence, a cut one third Charles III Mexico City Mint eight reales countermarked 'Payable at Rothsay Mills' in a circle around a large 1/8 in relief in a sunken circle (Manville 96). Toned, good very fine and rare, twenty three known.
Ex Walter Allen (lot 27), W.J.Noble (Sale 58B (lot 1579) and K.A.Hicks collections.
