ITALY, Naples, Napoli (Regno), Carlo II di Spagna, (1665-1700), silver Tari, 26mm, (5.59 g), Napoli (Naples) mint, Andrea Giovane, mintmaster, Marco Antonio Ariani, trial master, dated 1686, obv. Crowned coat-of-arms within Collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece, rev. Globe surmounted by crown above crossed cornucopia and fasces, AG/A to left, (CNI XX 273; Pannuti-Riccio 13; MIR 298/5). Good very fine or better, toned with some adjustment marks, very scarce.
Ex CNG Auction Sale 96 (lot 1294) and previously from the Archer M. Huntington Collection, USA, (HSA 1001.1.26734).
