GAUL, Massalia (as a Colony founded by the Phokaians), (c.400-350 B.C.), silver obol, (0.53 g), obv. youthful male head of Apollo left, rev. wheel with four spokes, M A in two quarters, (S.72, De La Tour 681); Italy, Calabria, Tarentum (Taras), (4th-3rd century B.C.), silver diobol, (1.06 g), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Corinthian helmet, rev. Herakles to right strangling a lion, (S.351); Moesia Inferior, Istros, (400-350 B.C.), silver hemiobol, (0.43 g), obv. two young male heads facing, side by side, left upright, right inverted, rev. **[IS]TR[IH]* above, sea-eagle standing to left on dolphin to left, which it attacks with its beak, (cf.S.1670, cf.SNG BMC 250, SNG Stancomb 136-7). Nearly fine - very fine, second two coins toned. (3)
