MACEDON, Roman Provincial issue, (c.90-75 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, issued under Quaestor Aesillas, (16.11 g), Thessalonica mint, obv. head of Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon and flowing hair, below MAKE**DONWN*, **Q* behind, rev. AESILLAS / Q above, club between money chest and quaestor's chair, all within olive wreath, (S.1463, Bauslaugh Group VI, SNG Cop. 1330, BMC 81-83). Grey tone, good very fine and scarce.
