PHOENICIA, Tyre, (c. 2nd century B.C. - 1st century A.D.), silver shekel or tetradrachm, (14.09 g), Tyre mint, issued year 161 = 35-36 A.D., obv. laureate head of Melqarth beardless to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, carrying a palm, standing on prow of ship, club to left, also to left P**X*A, KP and monogram in right field, around **TURO[U IERAS KAI A]SULOU*, (S.5918, RPC 1, 4694; H.1618 [817]). Nearly extremely fine and scarce.
