EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy III, (246-221 B.C.), AE 43, copper drachm, (69.77 g), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, eagle to left, on thunderbolt, closed wings, XP monogram between, (S.7814, Sv.964, SNG Cop. 171-2, Pitchfork 30). Area of green oxidation on the obverse, otherwise very fine or better, scarce as such.
