AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - 14 A.D.), silver plated fourree (2.93 g), obv. head of Augustus to right, behind CAESA[R], rev. rev. horseman galloping left, with sword and barbarian head, Q/[M].SERGI below, an issue of 116-115 B.C.. Plated but an extraordinary mule of a type used a century apart, coin fair with obvious evidence of base metal core.
