CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 209, Rome mint, (3.70 g), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. Virtus standing to right, resting foot on helmet and on spear and holding parazonium, around PONTIF TR P XII COS III, (S.6869, RIC 112, RSC 464). Toned, extremely fine, scarce.
