Q TITI on tablet from which springs Pegasus to r.; another silver denarius, Mn. Lucilius Rufus, issued 101 B.C., Rome Mint, 3.92 grams, Crawford 324/1, Sydenham 599, BMC 1613, B. Lucilia 1 (p.59), Obv. Helmeted head of Roma to r., behind PV downwards, laurel-wreath as border, Rev. Victory in biga to r., holding reins in l. hand and whip in r. hand; below M.LVCILI above RVF, border of dots, another silver denarius, C. Naevius Balbus, issued 79 B.C., Rome Mint, 3.68 grams, Crawford 382/1a, Sysdenham 769, BMC 2916, Sear Naevia 6b, Obv. Diademed head of Venus to r., S.C. behind, E below chin, dotted border, Rev. Victory in triga to r., in exergue C. N AE(ligated). B AL(ligated) B, serrated edge. Several toned, mostly very fine, (1469, 1472, 1475). (3)

Ex C. Pitchfork Collection and previously from Christies, London, May 9, 1978 (lot 12 part and lot 10 part) for the first two coins and the third coin from Sothebys through Baldwins December 13, 1978 (lot 41 part).
