NERO CLAUDIUS DRUSUS, (38 - 9 B.C.), silver plated denarius, issued 41-45 A.D. posthumously, Rome Mint, 2.99 grams, RIC 70 (Original RIC 75), C.2, BMC 97, Obv. Nero Claudius Drusus head laureate to l., around NERO CLAV[DIVS DRVS]VS GERMANICVS IMP, Rev. DE above and GERM on architrave of triumphal arch surmounted by equestrian statue to r. between two trophies each with seated and bound captive at foot; spear in rider's r. hand. Some silvering missing, otherwise fine and rare, (78).
