Laureate bust to r. of Severus Alexander, draped seen from the front, IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG around, Rev. IOVI PROPVGNATORI around, Jupiter standing facing, nude but for cloak, in fighting attitude, inclined to l. but head to r., holding thunderbolt; another issued 228-231 A.D., Rome Mint, 3.18 grams, RIC 226, BMC 647, C.586, Obv.
