VALERIAN I, (253-260 A.D.), Forgery by Becker of silver denarius, 3.37 grams, Becker No.219, illustrated Hill plate XII, struck early 19th century, Obv. Laureate bust of Valerian draped and cuirassed to r., IMP C P LIC VALERIANVS AVG around, Rev. ORIENS AVG around, Sol, standing facing with head to l., holding globe and raising right hand. Very rare Becker forgery, toned, good very fine, (337).

The reverse die used also by Becker on Postumus (No.229 Becker).
