THE INGLEBURN STAR, in bronze (135x115mm) with ribbon of white, green and yellow felt strips sewn together and with four clasps, - Canteen, Bus Stop, Serjeants Mess, Officers Mess -, representing camp drinking spots and the bus stop outside the camp, the obverse bears the names of more local drinking spots outside the Ingleburn Army Camp namely, Cross Roads, Liverpool, Sydney, Minto, the reverse is inscribed, 'NX141421 Lt. W.A.Woodger' and below, 'Nolle Bastardo Carbourundum' (Don't let the bastards get you down). Display mounted on board, the ribbon aged, otherwise extremely fine and unique.

Presented as a 'joke' tribute to an officer stationed at Ingleburn Army Camp, a training base during WWII.

William Austin Woodger, born 14Sep1913 at Queanbeyan, NSW; Enl. at Papua, New Guinea; WIA in Kokoda area; Disch.07Apr1945 as Lieutenant ex PSL (3Bn); awarded Medal of Order of Australia (OAM) in Australia Day (1980) Honours, p6 'for service to the sport of rugby union'; commemorated on Queanbeyan & District Honour Roll.

Upon his death the Queanbeyan Age printed a tribute to William Woodger on 1 October 1980. It highlighted some of his achievements including, Secretary of Queanbeyan Chamber of Commerce, of the Bush Fire Brigade, of the War Memorial Committee, of the Good Neighbour Council, of Christ Church Parish Council. He was also a charter member and later President of Queanbeyan Rotary Club. In the 1950s he helped form the Queanbeyan Whites RUFC and was President from 1955-1962. In 1977 he retired from business and was appointed Deputy Sheriff of Queanbeyan District Court.
