EGYPT, Sakkara, 25th dynasty, glazed faience amulet of the Conopic deities the four sons of Horus, Falcon-headed Qebhsenuef guarded the intestines, human form Imsety the liver, Baboon headed Hapy protected the lungs and jackel headed Duamutef the stomach. (ht 6 cm) c.500 B.C. Mounted in frame, very fine and unusual, with certificate.

Ex Collection of artist Edward James. This amulet was placed on the mummy in the places of the organs.
