MASONIC COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL, Centenary Medal of St. Albans Lodge, London, No. 29, 1828, in silver gilt (55g; 49x39mm) by Kenning, London, with ribbon and suspension brooch, obverse, a statue of St. Alban, standing upon a pedestal under a canopy, below the lower part of the pedestal, a perfect ashlar and lewis, on either side of the canopy, are two sprigs of acacia, reverse, legend in 12 lines enclosed in a strap and buckle. Ribbon damaged, otherwise extremely fine and scarce.
The St. Alban's Lodge was constituted on the 31st January, 1728. It met at the Castle and Leg Tavern in Holborn, but was not named until 1771.
