ITALY, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (c.350 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (7.52 g), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, rev. bull butting to right, traces of **QOURIWN* above, tunny fish below in exergue, with plain exergual line, (cf.S.442, cf.SNG ANS 1009 [same reverse die]). Very fine and rare.
