MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.106 grams), Magnesia ad Maeandrum mint, issued 323-319 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, dotted border, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, AT monogram under throne, to right **FILIPPOU*, dotted border, (cf.S.6751, Price P57, BMC P57a-b, M.[P89a]). Well centred, very fine and a scarce variety.
