Nike standing to left, holding aphlaston and palm-branch, **ARADIWN* to right, to left OP (year 194 = 65-64 B.C.), over 'aleph' over **MS*, all within laurel wreath, (S.5992, Kromann 'Studies in Ancient History and Numismatics to Rudi Thomsen p.112 notes 4 specimens of this date and variety). The study of this series of tetradrachms of Arados by Kromann in Thomsen as above shows that these civic tetradrachms began in 138/7 B.C., and continued until 44/3 B.C. She records only about 150 examples in her extensive survey.
