NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck on a Charles IIII Mexico City Mint eight reales, 1792FM (Mira-Noble 1792/2, dies I/10: B/9). Countermark as struck without wear and fully detailed as to impression of all lettering and denticles, good extremely fine, original coin good very fine and very rare with upright countermarks on obverse and reverse, one of the finest known and perhaps the most important of all to collectors.

Purchased by Spink & Son from a Scottish family with links to Governor Macquarie. Sold to John L.Ahbe in 1972 then sold through W.L.S.Barrett to Ken Wilson in 1974.
